Thank you for your continued leadership in Trail Life USA.  We have a special request of you and your fellow Course Directors (those who have completed Train the Trainer) who have committed to offer training to area Trail Life troops.

As you know, one of the best ways for a troop to be successful and thriving is to have most or all of their leaders trained.  Since we all want strong troops that live by the Mission of Trail Life, we’re going to be trying something that we believe will really benefit troops in the Northeast Region by holding a Training Blitz Month in January 2026.

We will be encouraging troops to curtail campouts and Hit the Trails that month and to concentrate on their registered leaders by hosting or attending Peak 1 or Peak 2 in person during Saturdays in January.

That’s where you come in.  We’re asking you to also keep at least one or more weekends free in January to help provide training at a troop near you (or maybe not near!).  We would like to complete this form sharing your willingness to serve.

We have charged two men, Tony Fleurent for the New England states, and Brian Smylie in the rest to work with Regional Training Chair Bennie Good to match course directors with host troops.

Troops will be encouraged to complete an online form offering to host a training course at their chartered organization.  We will set up courses on TLC for you and we’ll send you the course materials so all you need to do is show up and share your Trail Life knowledge.

Please feel free to contact Steve or Bennie if you have any questions about the Training Blitz.

Walk Worthy,
